On January 12th, the Havana High School hosted a Career Fair. Career Exploration students and members of the Career Club planned and organized this event. Career planning is an important step in achieving success and an important part of this class. Juniors and seniors were given the opportunity to visit with 27 different college representatives and business professionals.

CAREER CLUB
A Career Club was formed this year at Havana High School. The club's objectives are to expose students to leadership roles, allow students to have a sense of "belonging", promote active participation, enhance organizational and interpersonal skill and to gain marketable , employable positive traits. The Career Club's first project was the Career Fair.

FIELD TRIPS
Career Exploration students have been to MTI in Springfield and Illinois Central College in East Peoria.
These trips give the students a chance to tour campus's and learn about educational and job opportunities in the area. Students will be visiting Excel Foundry in Pekin in March.
